'My One and Only,' with Renee Zellweger, to shoot in B-more

My One and Only, starring Renee Zellweger as a glamorous divorcee hitting the road in search of a wealthy husband, will be filming in Baltimore beginning next month, the state Department of Business and Economic Development announced today. The eight-week shoot, to be done almost entirely in the Baltimore area, should continue through the spring and much of the summer.

My One and Only is based loosely on the memoirs of actor George Hamilton. It will be directed by Richard Loncraine (Wimbledon, Firewall).

Such a classy, sweet lady to have around Baltimore. Let's hope she and her film crew see the better and best parts of this area, not the plentiful crap!

This lady is not only beautiful, but she is a classy person too. Baltimore should roll-out its best to honor this talented actor. After all Baltimore is so much more than "The Wire" depicts.

Is there a local agency for local casting / extra's? We have a family member with interest in acting, and we have been to Philly and New York to visit agencies, but would love to find someone who works locally (Balt/DC) as well.

Rene Zellweger is my least favorite actress. I find her absolutely unwatchable. Her terrible attempt at an accent ruined Cinderella Man for me. The Bridget Jones movies are vomit inducing. I find her unfunny, unsexy and uninspiring, I actually avoid movies she is in.
Its always great to have a movie filmed in Baltimore. Maybe I'll watch it on mute just to see the landmarks.

This woman is too good for this hellhole. Shot it, and go intohiding every night. Why tryto talk ourselves into thinking that this is such a wonderful area and era, as depicted in films like Tin Men and Diner. The opposite is true. It is a hellhole.

If it is the memoirs of
George Hamilton why does
the plot involve Rene
Zellweger searching the
country looking for a man?
Is one of the men George Hamilton?

How dare she who must not be named come to our fair city.

Where in Baltimore? This is so exciting! Renee Zellweger is my absolute favorite actress, she's so breathtaking and talented!
