Free art activities for kids at the Walters Art Museum
Since the kids are off from school, why not take them over to the Walters for some free family fun? Each day this week and weekend, the museum will host a series of free drop-in art activities from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in their Family Center. No pre-registration is required:
Winter Break Activities:
Thursday, Jan. 1 – New Year calendars
Friday, Jan. 2 – winter buttons
To the Beat of the City:
Saturday, Jan. 3 – street signs
Sunday, Jan. 4 – window reflections (drawing activity)
These workshops are open to all ages as long as children are accompanied by an adult. For more information, call (410) 547-9000 or visit www.thewalters.org.

yes! everyone should come to the walters! you can find me running the drop in studio program most saturdays, and i can tell you how amazing it is to see even 2 year olds becoming completely engaged in art and art exploration, as they spend more and more time visiting & creating. thanks for posting this and spreading the word.
Also, if you have kids between 6-8, we have amazing tours geared specifically toward that age group, on the 3rd saturday of every month. They're free, but fill up fast, so pre-register for them online as well.
Hope to see you soon!
