Gil Shaham stars in YouTube promo for new CD
OK, you've got to hand it to violinist Gil Shaham (and his high-power PR team at 21cMedia). To hawk his new CD of Sarasate works, he stars in a little video, "Run, Gil, Run," that has him rushing all over Manhattan. There are cameos by some big-deal classical types along the way.
I'm not promising you'll double over with laughter, but you should find it entertaining:

It was yet another pleasure and honor to hear Gil perform last night in New York's Le Poisson Rouge. I think this is a nice promotional video and clearly shows Gil as an artist that takes his music seriously, though perhaps not the rest of life, which is a good thing. Thanks for covering this.
Cool, too, to see the NY Phil's music director getting in on the fun. Something tells me Maazel wouldn't have gone there. TIM
