Bilderberg Group meeting sparks conspiracy claims

bilderberg group

This weekend the Bilderberg Group is meeting at Suvretta House, a luxurious hotel in the chic Swiss resort of St. Moritz, and the invitation-only gathering of corporate execs and government officials always sparks conspiracy claims. The group got a lot of attention last fall, when Fidel Castro published an article in a Communist Party newspaper and quoted from "The Secrets of the Bilderburg Club" by Daniel Estulin.

The 2006 book posits that a secret group of politicians and business leaders runs the world, advancing its agenda at an annual conference. Castro said the book described "sinister cliques and the Bilderberg lobbyists" manipulating the public "to install a world government that knows no borders and is not accountable to anyone but its own self."

I suppose the Bilderberg Group, which was founded in 1954 at the Hotel Bilderberg in Holland, can supply us with a few thrills while we wait for Dan Brown to knock out another book. But a hotel in St. Moritz -- especially one that features Teddy's World for kids -- doesn't seem like the place to plot world domination. Shouldn't they be meeting in a secret underground lair?

Swiss moving to arrest Henry Kissinger at Bilderberg--

If they are not conspiring then why all the secrecy and no media coverage?
Oh. I forgot that some of the media elite attend this yearly gathering of people that promote global government, population reduction, and enslavement of the masses!

Steve Watson
June 10, 2011

Detractors routinely contend that the annual elite Bilderberg meetings are nothing more than an outdated irrelevant get together of aging has-beens whose power on the international stage has long since withered.

Take one look at the attendees at this year’s confab in St. Moritz, Switzerland, however, and it immediately becomes clear that this is the absolute polar opposite of the truth.

Debating policy at this year’s meeting will be the Jeff Bezos, Founder and CEO of, Chris R. Hughes, Co-founder of Facebook, Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google, Craig J. Mundie, Chief Research and Strategy Officer at Microsoft Corporation, and Reid Hoffman, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of LinkedIn.

There you have heads of the five biggest online companies, indeed five of the biggest companies on the globe, all in attendance together at a secluded hideaway in the Swiss alps for the weekend.

That alone should be enough to focus the attention of the mainstream media.
Alas, apparently, no, that is not enough to perk their collective interest.

Then let's factor in that also in attendance are the Vice President of the European Commission, the President of the European Council, the Director General of the World Trade Organization, the President of the European Central Bank, the President of The World Bank, and the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme.
No. still not doing it for the world’s media.

OK, how about the US Deputy Secretary of State, the Commander of USCYBERCOM and the Director of the National Security Agency?

Perhaps representatives from every major US think tank? You like to have them on your news output every single day right mainstream media? You know, the guys from the Hudson Institute, the Brookings Institution, the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, the Institute for Demographic Research – all at Bilderberg.

Turn on the TV and there is 24 hour news coverage of the ongoing economic crisis. Imagine if senior representatives from every major bank in the world were meeting in the same place along with the heads of finance from several major countries in the Western world. Oh wait, they are, at Bilderberg.

Bilderberg has senior figures from the National Bank of Belgium, the Nordea Bank of Denmark, the Deutsche Bank of Germany, the Investor AB bank of Sweden, the Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG of Austria, and the Investimentos bank of Portugal.
They have the Chairman of Barclays bank, the Chairman of HSBC, the Chairman of Goldman Sachs, the CEO of TD Bank Financial Group, the Vice Chairman of Citigroup and the former Chairman of Chase Manhattan Bank.

Deep breath…

They have the former German Minister of Finance, the current British Chancellor of the Exchequer, the current Greek Minister of Finance (not a great gig at the moment), the current Italian Minister of Economy and Finance, the Governor of the Bank of Canada, the former US Secretary of the Treasury and the former Governor of the Federal Reserve Board.
Throw in a smattering of royalty from the Netherlands, Spain and Norway, and a few high ranking politicians and heads of state from Belgium, Austria, China, Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey and you’re still only really scratching the surface of the who’s who of Bilderberg attendees.
It is clearly asinine to suggest that this group of people hold no power and do not have any sway on the international stage. Their influence is irrefutable. Anyone who makes this argument and then tells you you are delusional is beyond stupid.

Where are you mainstream media? Why are you ignoring this and choosing instead to report on week old pictures of a Congressman’s penis?

Bilderbergers start wars, commit genocide, and loot nations. All you have to do is remember the names and look at what they say and do. I recommend picking past and present attendees' names and Startpage search them with keywords like depopulation and inflation. Search: Bill Gates depopulation

Dave Rosenthal sir- this is why you are finding weakening readership.... slumping sales... and general lack of interest. Your reporting is a shallow stab at something you have researched little at all. I suggest you spend a few years reading all angles prior to penning this useless dribble to paper. You appear with the education of an infant in the land of truth.

So weird. Dave Rosenthal's flippant, 10th grade-level writing is a perfect example of why no one reads newspapers any longer.

"But a hotel in St. Moritz doesn't seem like the place to plot world domination. Shouldn't they be meeting in a secret underground lair?" Dave, are you for real, or did your editor make you write this tripe? It's juvenile and barely the product of a scribbler with an IQ of 85.

Grow up, Dave. These are evil people! Enjoy your $7-a-gallon gas in October, you dopey thumbsucker!

OUCH! I understand that this is a list of heavyweights, and I'm sure they discuss more than their golf scores. But world domination? If you take the guest list at face value, it sounds more like western hemisphere domination, if that.

I do believe they meet to keep their agendas secret and for world domination. There are facts that puts the founders of the group with direct relationship to the nazi's. Something is coming and I can feel it. I am sure many of you do too. something and it is not good. I don't think 2012 is the end of the world but the beginning of a large war to control world population and the masses.

right now they are out to crack down on freedom of speech. look and the invited guests.

Hoffman, Reid, Co-founder and Executive Chairman, LinkedIn

Hughes, Chris R., Co-founder, Facebook

Mundie, Craig J., Chief Research and Strategy Officer, Microsoft Corporation

Nice article, to bad you mad it clear that you haven't researched their past meetings and agenda's that's hit the world after their meetings. It's almost as if you're getting your information from the mainstream propaganda machine and trying to cover for this illegal meeting, learn about the "Logan Act" and then look at the attendees from the US, they are guilty of Treason but your inadequate reporting doesn't cover that does it? At least you mentioned the word Bilderberg I guess you get some credit for that, schmo.

Ha! Wow, thanks Dave Rosenthal for your worthless ignorant comments and article. You obviously know nothing of this matter (as others have already stated). You really think we vote for our leaders anymore? Wake up and figure out what truth there is and tell it rather than keeping this lethargic, passive world oblivious to facts. Dick.

Funny stuff, Dave Rosenthal!

I love how articles critical of Bilderberg conspiracy theories get bombarded by nutters being nutty!

Thanks for the laughs, people!

Bilderbergers issue assassination orders; Bilderberg Swiss banksters pay the contract kill fees.

On Monday 30th May 2011, Peter Odintsov conducted an interview with a senior Swiss banker in Moscow (Russia). The banker explained that he had been involved in making a direct payment in cash to a professional assassin who had been contracted to kill the president of a Third World country. The Swiss bank involved received a coded handwritten payment instruction from a foreign secret service. This procedure was, and is, standard practice in the administration of Bilderberg-initiated élite BlackOps. The Swiss banks concerned regularly receive such payment orders for contract assassination work.

Similar Swiss bank payment instructions are used to fund Bilderberg members' international subversion work, including fomenting artificial revolutions, strikes and agent provocateur political and police operations.

Trillions of dollars worth of illegal, unaudited, and tax-invisible transactions are covertly managed through the Swiss banking system via off-balance sheet accounts controlled by English-speaking, non-elected "security" personnel. It is these people who execute the daily business of the Western cabal's Bilderberg network. The Swiss government has knowledge, but no control, of these actions by its major banks.

In his interview with Peter Odintsov, the Swiss banker cited the names of Josef Ackermann (Germany) and Christine Lagarde (France) as being central players within the Bilderberg nexus, and talked about the hidden Bilderberg culture of Satanism and paedophilia. The CIA-funded Gladio network and the contract murder of the Italian Prime Minister, Aldo Moro, in May 1978, were also mentioned.

There are a lot of morons writing articles these days trying to hide Bilderberg wrong doings. The truth will prevail and some day these despots will hang for their crimes. My favorite is burn them alive.

The U.S. press might want to focus more on this meeting. Like the fact three swiss politicians are trying to have Henry Kissinger arrested and put in jail for war crimes. Or maybe an Italian Member of the European Union being punched in the nose might be news. That happened too.

The Bilderburgs are a crime syndicate and you boys at the Baltimore Sun misinformed slaves.

Bilderberg News 2011

Clearly another uninformed news report attempting to address the newly arising public attention of the Bilderberg group with the typical denial of any existing conspiratorial intentions. First of all, this IS a conspiracy and a violation of US federal law from the onset. A group of 150 of the most powerful and wealthy indivduals around the world meeting behind closed doors annually, guarded with heavily armed forces from several different private and governmental security agencies (conspiracy by definition). The Logan Act is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens and officials of the US from negotiating with foreign government and officers or agents thereof. Violation of such states law is a felony.

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as "internationalists" and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." -David Rockefeller, Bilderberg Member

It is conspiracy theory Kissinger has an active arrest warrant for him? Instead of sitting on your a$$ pumping out your garbage why aren't you THERE talking to people and finding out how tight security is and maybe get your nose punched like other journalists trying to investigate.

You suck

We can thank Dave Rosenthal and his ilk for the shape the country is in today! Thanks Dave! You know...McDonalds is hiring.Your talents would be put to better use there.
The Germans lost the war but the Nazi industrialists took their loot and bought prostitutes like you! You are tired and the jig is up and now you look like the dummy.
Get a job at McDonalds Dave Rosenthal.
You appear to be a nutjob that thinks that everything is just ducky and there are no megalomaniacs stealing everything that isn't nailed down doing dirty deals because they are "too big to fail".
Get with the real world Mr Pollyanna.
It's obvious you are carrying water(or scribbling) for the financial barbarians.
How does it feel to be a fool Mr Rosenthal? You appear as the last guy that believes the the magician REALLY pulls the rabbit out of the top hat.
Better click your heels because there is a puny little group of men behind the curtain, not the Wonderful Wizard Of Oz
running the show LOL @ You !

Baltimore is part of the ignorant media to lazy to investigate, and or is part of mainstream media twisting the view in favor of The Governmental Education Complex. So this article is pointless and influenced by opinion.

Swiss moving to arrest Henry Kissinger at Bilderberg--

Oh, it must be true if it's on Infowars! Hahaha, can't get over someone actually referencing that site as a source.

Breaking: Ron Paul admits libertarianism doesn't work in real world, simply an excuse for the selfish." - National Enquirer

If Rosenthal reads these comments, I wonder, will he wake up?

This meeting has been taking place since 1954 and you're finally acknowledging it now? Good thing you have all of us "Crazy Conspiracy Theorist's" doing your journalistic work for you, You sorry corporate media kiss a$$. You can't hide the truth forever!

There were several erudite comments here, plus responses from Mr. Rosenthal, that are now missing. This thread has been edited - by cowards.

this article sounds like it was written by a pouty child with his head in the sand.

David Rostenthal, are you proud? When you first decided to move into journalism, is this the sort of crap that you imagined you would be writing? The fact that you are now in an editor role, really demonstrates the fact that publications like yours will be extinct in the next few years. Shameful, how do you, and the rest of the mainstream media, sleep at night these days??

My town used to have a newspaper. It went broke because it sucked too.

Seriously... I just don't get it. Maybe this meeting is 'nothing to see here' but it is defiantly HUGE news that it's not news at the minimum. You newsboys spend weeks and months hyping every global summit of leaders you can find... from g7 to g8's then to g20's and on to kyoto and dabos.

But when this meeting happens... every damned year.... mum's the word.

That alone is enough to convince me that something smells. An entire generation of journalists who don't want to report on the largest secret meeting of industrialists, financiers and world leaders is highly abnormal in my eyes. Maybe that's because I used to watch Murphy Brown and in that show, the journalists loved a good story.

Hell, any one of you could have the "scoop" because the rest of you ignore it. It's BIG BIG news. g20 meetings are nothing compared to this. What do you get at g20? second rate assistants to assistants of financial ministers.

This meeting, you get the decision makers of the world all in one room..... and silence.

That's annoying.

I, for one, think it is wondeful that what appears to be the best and the brightest are getting together to share ideas and network. A brain trust like this surely has lots of good to contribute to each other.

At worst, it's like a big trade show. They'll eat fancy food we probably can't pronounce, drink expensive wine, shout "here, here" a few times. Oh the terror.

However, Paul Watson, mentioned above is a real paranoid creep who helps supposedly provide some credibility to the whacked out paranoid reactionary madness that shock talker Alex Jones spews to those who find Glenn Beck too mainstream.

Baltimore is lucky no radio station in this town carries Alex Jones. He's the sickest of the sick and makes an anual campaign of scaring people senseless over this social gathering of elites that looks rather like the membership of Augusta National Golf Course.

Those of you who are upset about Bildersberg need to take a couple deep breathes and get a life. You're being used by some very sick people.

I'm glad to see the media covering this. History shows that a lot of big events have happened because of backroom deals by elite power brokers. The Bilderberg club is apparently the modern day 21st century version of this. This reminds me of a documentary I saw on youtube called Invisible Empire: A New World Order defined. I encourage everyone to check it out.

I, for one, am happy to see any media coverage of this event. Let's be fair, there are reprisals for those who leak secrets of this magnitude and gravity. We, the people, must start slow and slowly pick up the pace; before long, we will expose these criminal, social and financial conspirators and social saboteurs. Swiss banking secrecy is near it's end. The emperors wear no clothes. Mark my words, Liberty will prevail.

@ Justin: "You're being used by some very sick people."

lol yes you are man. and i dont need alex jones to tell me. i cant stand that guy but you're a fricken moron if you think they need this kind of secrecy and security for happy hour at the hilton.

And you really think that the worlds most powerful people flock to this happy hour for the snacks?

As you mentioned, that's what golf outings are for.

Something isn't right, there.,LAST_24_HOURS

If you're going to write about something at least try to find out whats going on, basic information, etc. This article is akin to a sports journalist writing on gardening.

After watching the video called the Obama Conspiracy that delves into the NWO movement and seeing the jigsaw pieces that are being slotted into place and the exposing of the Bilderberg group and their future 'plans' it is very clear to me that the shape of things to come has been set in motion some couple of thousand or more years ago all the movements against are still trying to shut 'It' down and to what avail?
What I see is the finishing touches.
These high powered people who attend these meetings are by no chance picked at random nor are they their for a reunion.
Well on the last it is sorts a reunion they aren't there for the cake and coffee though.
Point being we should be more concerned these factories that waste water and food to bring us fizzy drinks, alcohol, real fruit juices(?), real fruit cereals bisuits chocolate any junk food really, wine, hamburgers real fruit or vege anything really that is man made and contaminated.
How about using the real fruit and vege and wasted water for those who really need it. Namely the starving and dying that we Taxpayers who are being ripped off each and everything month anyway still must give to by way of Charity donations of which it already goes into the absolute Trillions and still,,,
How many children and adults die each day Today from thirst or malnutrition due to war and greed?
And we think these high powered people are getting together to do the world some good?
STOA is a better phrase.

When a Company realizes their Product is total waste and stops making it to ensure that the natural good ingredients used (abused) when without all the hydrocarbanates or monosodium glutomate flavouring sweetener and or any other additives or preservatives added, are spread right to the corners of the earth then there will be a lot less bitching and deaths each year.
What is power?
Throwing fizzy drink down the drain, or boiling the crap out of it and using the left over water for good measure.
Water is too expensive as is every other natural product available.

I don't care about these people gathering really and think everyone's attention would be better spent voicing there concern where it matters.
Food and water waste.

Elvis, Jimmy Hoffa, Saddam Hussien & Michael Jackson were all seen at this years Build-A-Bear conference. Jackson was overheard asking if could make a "Bubbles" bear. Alex Jones and his sheep are nutjobs who are far more dangerous than your average crackhead.

what kind of article is this? Just mock those who are aware of the biggest conspiracy in history? Of course they meet in a hotel so what? Everything they do is done privately.Do you see any reporters filming the meetings? why not if they are so public as you imply. The truth is many of their members have stated their goals which are world domination.

These are the people who are where they are supposed to be to help Revelations during the end times happen. They are all doing what they are supposed to be doing and it is evil. Watch and be ready I believe soon, as in the next few years. Read the Bible, it's all in there.
