Kindle with a touch screen?

It looks like Amazon is taking the Apple iPad threat seriously.

It was reported yesterday that Amazon bought the touch-screen startup, Touchco. Word is that Touchco will be merged with Amazon's Lab126, which designs the Kindle's hardware.

So, does this make you more likely to buy the next generation of Kindle? And those of you who already own the e-reader, would you lay down the money for what would probably be a larger screen, without the keyboard?

I'll go with the Apple IPad

I love my Kindle just the way it is. I don't think I'd like a touch screen. If you'd like to see what people are saying about this on the Amazon discussion forum, check this link out:

The Kindle will have to have a touch screen and color to remain a force in the eReader world. Magazines will be heading in that direction and how many black & white magazines do you find at the newsstand, another eventual rarity.
