Dundalk to host Stephen King, master of horror

stephenkingdundalk.jpg

Attention Stephen King fans!

The North Point Boulevard Walmart will host the celebrated horror author tomorrow at 6 p.m. But before you make plans to rush over, there are a few instructions.

First, the line is to start at 7 a.m. (Yes, you read that right.) At 10 a.m., wristbands will be handed out to the first 400 people in line. These lucky golden tickets guarantee the bearer to one autographed copy of "Under the Dome," King's latest novel.

For those who haven't picked it up yet, "Dome" is classic King, sure to please any fan. Of course, I'm only about a tenth of the way through the gigantic tome, but it's been worth the ride.

So good luck, readers! And be sure to send us a few photos from your time in line.

Question, if you get the magic armband, do you have to hang around all day till 6pm?

No, you don't have to hang around. However, my understanding is that you have to purchase the book from the WalMart and show the receipt when you get your autograph.

KING IN DUNDALK????

is this a sign of the apocalypse?

I've always felt Dundalk would like to be under the dome.

"Under the Dome"??? Did Mr. King watch "The Simpsons Movie"? Hello! Matt Groening should be talking to all his attorneys right now...this is not an original idea. Springfield gets "domed" and it's Homer's fault, natch. And the good citizens of Springfield have to endure life in the dome. They even shop at Dome Depot.

I love a good horror story and it seems like there are a lot of them around these days. GOt a long list but will get to the Dome soon.

At Walmart? Really? Wow!
WHile there, see if you can find Annie's Gift, another good horror read. Anyone who likes Psychic vampires would love this one.

I wonder what novels Mr. King would recomend??

He started writing long before Simpsons - do a little research before suggesting legal battles - jeez - what a world :)

A man's dome is his castle.
Dome sweet dome.
There's no place like dome.
Dome is where the heart is.
Dome on the range

Any other's?

I'll wait for photo

If your not one of the 400 can you still get a book signed by king?

Jim, how about: Sweet Dome Alabama or My Old Kentucky Dome.

Yes you can. After the 400 are signed and it is within the 2 hour time limit, King will sign additional books.

i didn't know people knew how to read dundalk

Stephen King is a hack who shoves out a book a month to make money off of fools who think he actually has something new to say. Hasn't written anything worthwhile since The Shining. Wake up people; books about a rabid dog, a possessed car, a clown in the sewers? Read H.P. Lovecraft instead, someone King has ripped off of for decades and who had more talent in his pinky finger than King has in his girth. *LMAO*

Just got my wristband. The first 400 are gone; now they're down to giving out "alternates." Alternates have to line up in order, I'm number 18. Line-up for alternates starts at 4:00.

so he will only be there for 2 hours ? From 6 -8pm

I was told that King would be signing books at 7 PM. Does this mean that if I got there around 6, I probably won't be getting my book signed?

Old folk's Dome
Phone Dome
The lights are on, but nobody's Dome

If you've ever actually read It you'd know it's not a clown moron
