Dick Cheney's new book -- and big payday

dick cheney's new bookAdd former VP Dick Cheney to the list of politicos earning big money for memoirs. In the Bush administration, the upcoming deluge includes books by the president himself as well as wife Laura, and the ex-secretaries of State, Treasury and Defense. Of course, the Democrats are cashing in too, with President Obama and anyone remotely connected to his campaign or family getting a book deal.

Cheney's deal is worth a reported $2 million, according to The New York Times. It will focus on the past 40 years of his life, mostly in Washington, and will be published in the spring of 2011. The Times also noted that Cheney has been working occasionally on the memoir at his home on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Excellent choice of photo.

I feel that the proceeds from the sales of these books should be siezed and given to the families of the fallen service men and women that died in vain in an illegal oil war.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! If you want to put money back into the economy, buy LOOSE CHANGE, the video.Thank God, Condi warned officials not to fly on, or before 9-11. (remarkable insight Huh? ) Xtra insurance taken out for the Towers? How'd they know? ( Oh, I guess if the Towers were ever hit, this money would be used to raise the dead) If you buy this book, You support the terrorists

I for one am looking forward to this book! It is about time we get some balance and a historic perspective instead on the same old hate filled talk polluting the minds of the idiot masses!

I assume that it will be in the fiction
section.

Rumor has it the title will be "The Book of Vile Darkness"

WAR FOR OIL COMMUNISTS ARE SILENT NOW. NO CINDY SHEEHAN DRAGGING HER SON'S DESECRATED BODY AROUND KENNEDY VENEZUELA FOR COMMUNIST VOTES. NOW THAT OBAMA BIN LADEN IS COMMISSAR EMIR, AMERICANS WILL DIE UNNOTICED SLIPPED BACK INTO TOWN IN COFFINS DRAPED WITH BANNED FLAGS THAT 48 DEMONCRAT SENATORS VOTED TO BURN. CHENEY WAS A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS. A PROFESSIONAL VICE PRESIDENT.
WHERE IS THE LIST OF RUMSFELD'S MISTAKES THAT WE NEVER SAW? ONLY COMMUNIST HEARSAY.

About the bloggers
While she always preferred The Hardy Boys to Nancy Drew, Nancy Knight grew up reading nearly everything she could get her hands on, including a probably unhealthy amount of R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike, with the obligatory Jane Austen thrown in. She'll still read just about anything you put in front of her, especially the funny or weird. She lives in the city with her books, cat and drum set.

Dave Rosenthal came to The Baltimore Sun as a business reporter in 1987 and now is an assistant managing editor and Sunday editor. He reads a wide range of books (but never as many as he'd like), usually alternating between non-fiction and fiction. Some all-time favorites: A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole; Wind, Sand and Stars by Antoine de Saint-Exupery; and anything by Calvin Trillin or John McPhee. He belongs to a book club with a Jewish theme.
