Have you been itching to share a story, photo or artwork about our lovely city? Eight-Stone Press' Smile Hon, You're in Baltimore is accepting submissions. The catch is, deadline is today.
I know, I never make things easy on you, do I?
Dave Rosenthal came to The Baltimore Sun as a business reporter in 1987 and now is the Maryland Editor. He reads a wide range of books (but never as many as he'd like), usually alternating between non-fiction and fiction. Some all-time favorites: A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole; Wind, Sand and Stars by Antoine de Saint-Exupery; and anything by Calvin Trillin or John McPhee. He belongs to a book club with a Jewish theme.

Thanks for the shout, Nancy! (And although the deadline is indeed today, should anyone have a story they *really* want to share but can't put it together by the end of the day, simply drop me a line of intent and I will work to give them a bit of an extension.)
