One last chance to vote
Haven't voted today in Zillow's best-blog contest? You can, if you've got a few seconds, by clicking here before 3 p.m. when it's all over. (Finally!)
It might be a lost cause at this point -- after I got ahead yesterday, real estate agent Marney Kirk zoomed back in a big way -- but hey, you can help me not lose so badly.
Thanks to you all for your support. And now back to your regularly scheduled blog posts.UPDATE: Congratulations to Marney, the best-blog winner! Check out her blog here.

Must be very few voters, since as of noon wednesday you are way in the lead!

The swings this contest has taken are unbelievable, so that's probably it.

Remove your cookies then vote again. I hate online polls. Far to easy to skew.

Yeah, another reader warned me about that. I resisted the temptation to cheat. I hope everyone else did, too.

Hi Jamie! You were a worthy opponent! I am wondering about the # of people who voted as well. It really swung quite a bit overnight -- I put an APB out on FB and apparently some of my West Coast friends were posting and voting and asking their friends to as well.
How could someone cheat? I thought I understood it was recorded by IP address!

Thanks, Marney! Congratulations to you -- and I bow to your superior get-out-the-vote skills. (I don't use FB much, but it can be a powerful social-media tool.)
What ironhide is talking about is that online polls can be manipulated by anyone who takes the time to empty their computer cache. A poll puts a cookie in the cache, which is how it knows someone has voted already, but if the cookie is gone, they can vote again. (At least, I think that's how it works -- I didn't test it to find out.)
