A split housing market
Home sales are rising in the Baltimore metro area, but the effect is really focused.
Buyers got 23 percent more homes last month in the under-$250,000 range than they did a year ago, but 9 percent fewer homes above that price mark.

I feel for the Browns and others in their situation. If we hadn't decided to rent during our few years in Baltimore, we'd be in the same boat--and several family members and friends encouraged us to buy! I wish the Browns all the best.
