Real estate poll: Baltimore-area asking prices

No subject draws more debate on this blog than home prices. Not even property taxes. So I know you'll all want to weigh in on this new poll.

Oh, go on, it'll only take a few seconds.

It's true that asking prices vary considerably, so all you can do is say what you think about the majority you're seeing. Oh, and I normally randomize the order of answers, but in this case I feared that would simply end up being confusing. I doubt your opinion of prices will be swayed by answer order, in any case.

While we're at it, take another few seconds and tell me about yourself:

You'll fit into two categories if you're an industry professional, but I'd suggest choosing "industry pro" since that's what you do for a living. And if you're scratching your head about what to pick because you're staying with friends or relatives -- go for one of the "renter" choices.

Interesting to see that home sellers are optimistic about their home values in the recent zillow poll.

According to Realtors in the HomeGain national poll are also a lot more optimistic than they were just three months ago about home values in a recent poll.

HOWEVER, buyers in the recent HomeGain Natonal Realtor poll think prices are less fairly valued than three months ago and are still overpriced!

Looks like in Jamie's poll Baltimore buyers think the same.

Yup, the timing is no coincidence -- I figured that between the Zillow poll and the new HomeGain poll (which I'll be blogging about soon), it was time for some local weighing in.

Both polls are useful
The zillow poll focuses on homeowners while
The HomeGain poll is three dimentional and focuses on buyer and homeowners through the lense of the realtor
