High-tech house hunting

Colleague Lorraine Mirabella is looking to interview homebuyers who use mobile phones to house hunt -- or, more specifically, mobile-phone apps that let you get listing information on the go. For instance, Trulia's, Zillow's, Smarter Agent -- I'm sure there are more out there, but you get the idea.

Are you in this early-adopter group? Shoot her an email at lorraine.mirabella@baltsun.com. She'd love to hear from you.

And I'd be curious to hear in the comments if you've found any of these apps useful.

I decided to use Smarter Agent because although I am a homeowner, I am looking to purchase another one. I work full time so Smarter Agent was a very convenient mechanism to do my house hunting. It was great!!!

Smarter Agent is a great design, but the data included is very limited. Zillow and Trulia have the same problem, but not to the same degree. I personally like using Trulia's the most, largely due to shorter load times. Zillow's load time is too long because it includes the hybrid maps by default.
