Analysts have been raising their estimates of U.S. economic growth, an about-face from just a month ago, when they were lowering those forecasts and fretting that the country was on the cusp of recession.In mid-September, a weekly poll of forecasters by consulting firm Macroeconomic Advisers showed economists expected gross domestic product to grow at an annual rate of just 1.7% in the third quarter. Now, the economists expect Thursday's GDP report from the Commerce Department to show a 2.7% gain, and some are looking for more than a 3% pace.
