Now maybe we'll find out what's up at Ticketmaster

From the Wall Street Journal:

Ticketmaster has received subpoenas on ticket-reseller agreements from DOJ, FTC, others.

I assume that means the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission will look at the relationship between Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster's TicketsNow scalper site and the resellers who use TicketsNow. Owning a primary ticket sales site and a scalper site is a big conflict of interest for one company.

Do you know of any local action pending to investigate the TicketNow fiasco of Springsteen sale that I personally got caught in? I read that NY/NJ did launch some effort, I do not believe no such an effort was started in this area.

it's really become quite unbelievable. last friday i was online right at 11am to purchase phish tickets at merriweather. they were all sold out right away. i was right there at 11am. i then check ticketsnow and there bunches of tickets on sale for double the price and up.

TonyJoe: I know of no investigation by Maryland officials. With luck the Feds will shed some light. J.
