Another brilliant performance from the MARC trains

This is ridiculous. From this morning's MARCTracker report on metro Washington's commuter trains. The region is ready to get back to work after the summer holidays. But not MARC.

"MARC service disrupted after body found near tracks"

http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/traffic/bal-body0903,0,436774.story

Count me among the first to gripe about MARC service issues over the last few months, but Jay, you might want to take notice of what your fellow Sun staff are reporting this morning. I'd think this explains this morning's delays, which you've duly noted.

Are you smacking your head and saying "OOPS" right now, Jay? I am frequently irritated by the MARC delays, but some things are understandable. When the guy got hit by the Amtrak and everything was canceled... ok. Makes sense. Find a body and need to delay things? ok. Makes sense.

What I DON'T understand are the delays when the weather is perfect, the other trains are on time, and they don't say anything. And I get peeved at the "it's raining, or it's too hot, or it's too cold, or there are leaves on the tracks" delays as well, but a body? Go ahead and halt things.... I'm cool.
