Free light rail, free McDonald's burger

Ride the light rail on Sunday for free and get a free McDonald's burger too.

The Maryland Transit Authority and Baltimore area McDonald's are teaming up to host the "Angus Try Free, Ride Free" commuter program that day.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., show up at any light rail and buy a one-way ticket and it will be free. Coupons for a free Angus Third Pounder burger will also be given out at each stop.

This is seriously disgusting. The MTA should in no way be promoting fast food, particularly in a city with skyrocketing rates of diabetes.

Administration, Administration, Administration.
Sorry, Richard. The press release said otherwise. Andrea

Having this during the lunch hour is a happy accident. You can ride downtown on McD's dime and get real food elsewhere.
