More cheap tricks: save $5 off $25 Whole Foods purchase

We've told you about how Whole Foods is trying to help customers save money while shopping at the store facetiously known as Whole Paycheck.

Now you can print out this Whole Foods coupon to save $5 on purchases of $25 or more. It's valid until Oct. 22.

You can also see a list of Whole Foods sale items, called "Sure Deals."

Special thanks to Multimedia Editor Mary for discovering this savings via Twitter. You can follow wholefoods at  Twitter/wholefoods.

I could save a whole lot more by just not shopping at Whole Foods.

aeb, you've got a point --- since you've got to fill your basket with at least $25 worth of stuff for the coupon to kick in. WF does seem to sell different items as loss leaders than other stores, however. I remember thinking that organic milk, for example, was cheaper there than elsewhere. Also, don't forget about the bulk foods aisle, perhaps the cheapest place to stock up on quinoa and bulgur. But if you blow all your savings on vegan General Tso's Chicken from the prepared foods bar, then what's the point? ---- lfk.

And lord knows that vegan general tso "chicken" is not cheap. i just spent $10 on a large of this deliciousness the other night. sigh. wish i had known about this coupon.

Yes,food costs more at Whole Foods, but it is food that is better for you by far. I always laugh when people complain about their prices then drop $30 on a round of shots at the bar..
