Look fabulous for a Good Cause

Ladies, get something for (almost) nothing and support a good cause at the same time.

The nonprofit organization Suited to Succeed helps women entering the workforce after job-training programs by giving them free clothing that's appropriate for interviews and professional jobs. The gently used clothing and accessories are donated to the group.

But an e-mail from the Downtown Partnership alerted me to a weekly "Staying in Business" sale at Suited for Success. The group raises money by opening their closets to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday at their offices at 10 Light Street (enter on Redwood Street).

Most items cost $5 each, so a two-piece suit would run $10. Designer pieces --- from labels including Christian Dior, Anne Klein and Karen Scott --- cost $20.

You can also save by donating your own professional wear. Call 410.528.1799 for more information.
