Apple a Day blog shuts down

This will be my last blog post on Apple a Day, just short of its second anniversary. I was let go from The Sun yesterday.

While this blog has been a lot of work – I did most of it on my own time – it has been a labor of love. I appreciate all of you who were regular readers or even occasional visitors. Hopefully I shed a bit of insight on the world of Apple.

Should I decide to continue the blog on another forum (that’s what iWeb is for, right?), you’ll be able to find a link to it from MacSurfer.

You will be missed!

God Speed, David.

Thank you and a plague on the house of the Tribune!

Aw, Dave, not you, too? Thank you so much for all the techie help you provided over the past two years. It was greatly appreciated. Happy trails to you!

Dave, I'm sorry that you and so many other amazing pros are victims in this latest Sun exodus. We're an Apple family and have benefitted greatly from your insight, first in print and then online. Good luck, and thank you.

Good luck to you in your future work.
Remember that opportunity often reveals itself during adversity.

Thanks for the help and the best in the future

Thanks for the insights, please do continue it somewhere!!!

All the best!

Too bad. You will be missed. Not much left of the once proud Sun. I guess we can get Apple news from other places, but who's going to cover City Hall and Annapolis? and who will pay them? and from what revenues? I fear that unless someone is watching, the unwatched authorities will run wild, with stories like the mayor's credit card appropriations, and worse, going unheard and unchecked.

Sorry to hear. That sucks. I wish you all the best and I hope to get to read you elsewhere. Hope you find a job soon.

Amen to Eric's comment. Good luck finding a new job. Thanks for all the great entries.

Good luck to you. I always read MacSurfer so I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your stuff.

Very sorry to see you go from The Sun. Very sorry that the last reason for reading The Baltimore Sun has gone. Now I'm sure The Sun has become a sinful waste of trees. This is a sad day for Baltimore.

You will certainly be missed. This was one of the only Sun blogs worth reading and was wonderful for us Apple fans. Best of luck.

Your blog was very entertaining and informative. Hopefully you will want to start up a new blog in the future to keep us MAC followers enlightened.

You will be missed; I really enjoyed your take on Apple-related issues.

Best of luck in the future.

Best of luck!! The Apple Blog was the best of the Sun's Blogs. I agree with A. Williams Davis' post, what a waste of trees!!!
