You might not be able to find it in your local Apple Store, but you can see a pink MacBook in the film "Confessions of a Shopaholic, which opens in theaters today. (Review by the Baltimore Sun's Michael Sragow here.)

It's unclear whether the film's producers had the MacBook customized by a third party or whether they did the job themselves, although the transluscent tabs on each side and over the Apple logo make me wonder.

Apparently Mac laptops feature prominently in this movie; I found another publicity shot with a more conventionally hued MacBook (right).

I think the pink MacBook has a seethru cover on it from Speck. Those tabs look just like the ones on their web site.

Yes, its the Speck cover, available at Apple Stores and Amazon.

How is it you're actually paid by a large newspaper to supposedly cover tech news? Such incredibly lazy journalism, I'm almost embarrassed for you.

"It's unclear whether the film's producers had the MacBook customized by a third party or whether they did the job themselves"

It's clearly a cover, of which there are many, many, many varieties. To not know about Macbook skins and covers shows that you really have no clue about the space you're attempting to cover.

where can i get it?!!! how? don't care for price !!!!

Adding any cover over a laptop iPhone etc. can contribute to premature overheating. If you choose to use this shell and develop a problem I suggest removing it as it may be the first suggestion you get from a repair professional during their evaluation.
