Booting up the Apple Blog
Welcome to Apple a Day, my latest vehicle for offering my views on the ever-fascinating world of Apple, Inc. I started writing about Macs for the Sun's original Plugged In section back in 1998 and later wrote a weekly column on Apple and Mac-related issues for this very Web site.
My plan is to combine the knowledge of a long-time user with a journalist's instincts to add what I hope will be fresh insights on the daily stew of announcements, news, and controversies.
Along the way I hope to hear from those of you who agree, disagree, or who know something about the topic I do not (there should be a lot of room for that one). This should be fun ....

Thanks for Apple picking.
Although the learning curve is a bit steep for a 70 year old, I'm wondering what held me around the "window" for so long having to endure updates and patches and expansions and security stuff and W95 to W98 to W98se and so on.
When the Dell I had purchased 11 months before blew, I said "that's it" and I came back to Apple.
I too had (and still have) my Apple ][e, Appleworks and all the wonderful goodies which had revolutionzed my life as a college Instructor. What forced me to the W arena was the lack of software for that platform,,,,,I had SEEN the Lisa.
They were wonderful days. And life with iMac is great!
