The Towson University Guy

Ran into Patrick Smith freelancing for The Examiner at a Saturday afternoon Morgan State basketball game. He had just returned from Winter Break to resume his schooling at Towson University and his work for the Towerlight. A good guy, with a new D300 (insert green look of envy), he told me of his recent trip to Japan.

He also made this stunner and passed it along in an e-mail later in the day.

Nothing like being caught chimping checking color balance and how bad the low-light pictures look on my small-screened D2X. Patrick, meanwhile, snaps happily away at ISO 3200 with beautiful grain and white balance. Check out his blog for some interesting insights into his world -- and quote about the Patriots and their Super Bowl future: They "look like a championship bound team, but not Superbowl champions."

Should've placed a bet.
