Out of Touch

The only excitement I can generate at the moment is about the removal of the fans and dehumidifiers from my basement this time tomorrow. A washing machine, a mere 12-years old, decided to let loose into the world a torrent of water, unimpeded by anything but floor tiles, walls and stuff on the floor (including paperwork I was organizing.) This home disaster has occupied much of my time since Sunday night.

Two things of interest happened since that unfortunate incident.

  1. Jezebel.com made a call for evidence of magazine cover retouching, offering $10,000 for before-and-after Photoshop-Gone-Wild examples. It announced the winner, busting the July Redbook cover of Faith Hill (who is a beautiful 39) with the real image. The response by the magazine's editor is listed under Losing Faith at wwd.com.
  2. The Sun launched a redesign of baltimoresun.com on July 17.

Now I have to head to the office. If anyone has comments about the new site design I'd really like to read them. I have my own thoughts, but am keeping them to myself for now.
