Weather challenge deadline is today

Weather is all around, so let's see it.

Today is the final day to make weather photographs for the Photo Edge Photo Challenge. All must have been photographed from Feb. 13 through Feb 29. Upload them to the Photo Edge Flickr group by March 2 and use the proper tags: "Photo Edge Flickr February Weather Photos." On March 3 they will be judged and the best posted by the end of the day.

Questions should be posted to the discussion on the Flickr group page.

Give me your best shot, to butcher a lyric from an '80s pop diva.

Flickr challenge: Weather photos

At The Sun, and many other papers, the photographers often get sent out by their benevolent photo editors to get "weather photos." One of the most demanding tasks is to find a weather photograph that is both interesting and different. Not easy.

So, the weather is predicted to be bad Wednesday. Let's see some great weather photos, as if the photographer (you) has to find a photograph for the newspaper. Get out there and do it. Put in the Flickr Photo Edge group and simply tag it with "Photo Edge flickr February Weather Photos." Put the tag terms in order and without commas.

For next week I will post the best, as judged by a few members of the crack Sun staff, at Photo Edge. Anyone can enter; try to limit entries to one per day per photographer.
