Maybe a mistake
It was with trepidation I pointed to David Hobby's Strobist site. He has done remarkably well with it and has developed a huge — it is more like a cult every day — following. It focuses more on lighting, but very much the same when it comes to discussing photography in general.
Hopefully all of you who meandered there from here will have left bread crumbs to get back.

I wouldn't worry...Strobist may be huge, but I found your site through it. Give it time. David started with a small audience as well...
Without Strobist, I wouldn't have found your blog. Keep it up. Your blog is just what I was looking for to round out my daily photoblog reads!

I agree with Bradley, I wouldn't have found you if it wasn't for Strobist. Your site is an excellent read, I have been thinking about getting into doing some photography for newspapers and such, and reading your blog is an inspiration for that! Strobist was an inspiration for using flashes and Pocket Wizards... :)

Thanks to you both for testing the waters here at Photo Edge. Hobby's site is such a megalith compared to the all-so-humble Photo Edge; it is most like Godzilla and I am the small village of peaceful folk tending their goats.
Not really, I just liked the sound of that and to work in Godzilla references whenever possible. Glad you're here, spread the word and Fight the Power!

Chris,
As an aspiring photographer myself, every little bit helps. For everything anybody can learn about lighting, there's just as much of the day-to-day from a less technical and more meaningful/in-depth approach (see: your post from yesterday) that can enlighten the road ahead even more. I have been checking both yours and David's sites daily, and will certainly continue to do so.

Try being friends with the guy who started Tvnewser.com (aka Brian Stelter, former Towerlight EIC). He was getting easily over a million hits a month compared to my almost 5,000 a month. Ha.

I must admit that I've spent far too much time on Strobist after you pointed it out, but I've added your blog to my RSS reader... and sometimes one wants to look at photos that aren't lighted to h* and back too.
Another thing entirely; Red vests might be bad, but this is worse:
